Little People Nurseries
was first established in 1989 by Marguerite
Hallas and her husband Geoff. Marguerite has been a nursery
nurse since she was 16 and had always dreamed of opening her own
nursery, offering the best childcare in Leeds. Geoff had originally
trained in accountancy giving him the business knowledge needed to
help Marguerite fulfil her dreams.
Research has shown that children who attend nursery are more
prepared, confident and have increased social skills for starting
school. The nursery caters for parents who require a very high
standard of childcare for their children in a warm, stimulating,
enriched home from home environment.
Children are encouraged to develop their individuality and
personality and are given opportunities to learn through play and
various other activities.
They provide a variety of child centered learning experiences where
children will develop through communication, investigation and
discovery, to ensure each child has a recordable progression of
learning.
The nurseries are all OFSTED Registered and inspected by the Food
Standards Agency. They have a professional open partnership
between their staff and parents meaning any concerns can be voiced
without awkwardness, they welcome feedback and are dedicated
to meeting parents’ needs. Little People Nurseries is rightfully proud
of their glowing Inspection Report and their outstanding Local
Education Authority report. This has been achieved through the
dedication of their qualified nursery nurses.
They are open five days a week, fifty one weeks of the year from
seven thirty in the morning through to six o’clock in the evening and
parents will find ample parking facilities.
