Fulneck School is only 20 minutes from Leeds city centre and
overlooks the picturesque Tong Valley. Pupils from the city as well
as from the country environment can benefit from the location of the
school.
The school is housed in a Grade 1 listed building where it has been
tastefully refurbished and upgraded to meet todays educational
needs yet still boasting character. In recent years additional
changes have been added to the site from a gymnasium to a sixth
form centre.
Fulneck Nursery and Reception - Age 3 - 5
In their nursery classes they create a warm and secure environment
in which each child has the freedom to develop their skills and
potential. They have a strong commitment to parents as partners
and aim to involve them in all aspects of their childs care and
education.
Junior School - Age 5 - 11
One key measure for a school is the involvement of the children
in their everyday life. At the junior school they are wrapped in a
broad, purposeful and independent curriculum and are engaged in
exciting lessons with cutting-edge resources.
Senior School - Age 11 -16
The teachers at Fulneck Senior School are committed to developing
the best possible learning experience for their students. They nurture
young people who thrive as independent, confident and happy
young citizens with moral and social values.
Their extensive extra-curricular programme allows students to
develop their interests, as well as their leadership and collaborative
skills.
Sixth Form - Age 16 - 19
The Sixth Form years are a very special time for a young adult, this
is when personalities can flourish and crucial decisions can be made
about their future. The tutors work in collaboration with the Head
of Sixth Form supports, monitors and encourages the personal and
academic development of each student.
Boarding - Age 9 - 19
They can guarantee that in boarding your child will make friendships
that last a lifetime, the very special community spirit and mutual
support will stay with them forever. Families are able to contact
Boarding staff at any time to discuss the welfare and happiness of
their children.
